Caron’s designs are inspired by organic forms and have a linear abstract feel. Born in the Welsh valley of Pontycymmer, nature was just outside the door and was the main source of entertainment whilst growing up. The valley mountains and brooks are a great inspiration to her, where every pathway and stream are as familiar as your own home. These memories from her childhood are reflected in her work.

Caron uses hammering, texturing and patination of the metal to produce many different outcomes and contrasts. All these techniques combined give the pieces a very earthy feel, and portray her thoughts and feelings in a very personal but abstract way.
