Jo Stockdale

Jo fills her pictures with movement and life, through the use of loose brushwork and sketches. Although acknowledging a likeness to a subject is required, Jo’s aim is to look beyond a photographical image and to capture the essence and character of the individual/subject. Likewise the shape and size of each piece of work is directly linked to the format of the painting, and is limited only by the space which is available to hang in.
