Fairy Wall Hanging
Peter combines a passion for art with a background in engineering to create magical work in metal. He often uses mild steel, copper and sometimes glass.
Inspired by mythology, dreams and forgotten worlds, his skilful expression of these themes, using welding torch, anvil and angle grinder is quite remarkable. One could be forgiven for forgetting that these sculptures are made from such rigid materials.
His smallest works are under 20cm tall and his largest over three metres. There are links to Gaudi, Rackham, Bosch and many others whose art combines technical mastery with a sense of the fantastic. However Pete managed to avoid cliché and imitation with his own unique vision.
Pete loves to travel and he uses this as an inspiration for some of his new work. His desire is to capture his subjects in the mood of the moment.
